Dos and Donts
Do
- Place your "Work Experience" category towards the top of your CV.
- List your capabilities and/or a list of your major achievements
- Keep your CV to two pages of A4 maximum
- Only input relevant information specific to the job you are applying for.
- Always try and keep your sentences short and punchy
- Your CV should be carefully checked for typo/spelling errors before you send it out to employers
Dont
- List any sort of failures - exams, marriages, businesses, etc.
- Reasons for leaving each job.
- Salary information
- Leave out age (put in date of birth instead), weight, height, health, or any other personal
- information that is irrelevant to your application
- Do not use poor quality photocopies of your CV
